Job Description

- Provide one-on-one or small group support in academic, behavioral, and social areas under teacher guidance
- Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
- Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Offer supervision, mobility support, and personal care assistance as needed
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere
Key qualifications for success in this role include:
- Associates Degree or higher education
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
- Current fingerprint background clearance or willingness to obtain prior to starting
- Preferred: Experience in educational, behavioral health, special education, or similar child-centered environments
- Experience supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges highly valued
- Certification or experience with CPI, PMT, or as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a plus
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative team orientation
