Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support for students in classrooms, assisting both in academics and behavior management.
- Report student behaviors and progress accurately to supervisors, contributing to effective team collaboration.
- Provide direct assistanceeither one-on-one or in small groupsas guided by teachers and school staff.
- Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and participate actively in classroom activities.
- Implement and follow behavior intervention plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed.
- Support personal mobility, supervision, and care needs when necessary to ensure student safety.
- Promote a respectful, nurturing, and inclusive school atmosphere.
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current RBT certification
- Minimum age of 18
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Negative TB test (per local guidelines)
- Clearance checks completed or willing to obtain before starting
Preferred Background:
- Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral healthcare, or child care
- Familiarity with supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
- Additional certifications (CPI, PMT) are a plus
- Dependable, patient, and collaborative attitude
