Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-on-one or small group assistance under the direction of instructional staff, catering to academic, behavioral, and social needs.
  • Support students in daily routines, class transitions, and encourage active classroom participation.
  • Implement strategies outlined in Behavior Support Plans and follow the guidelines of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed to ensure every student receives equitable support.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment that nurtures individual growth and positive peer interactions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher completed.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and perform lifting tasks as necessary.
  • Ability to complete current fingerprint background clearances before starting.
  • Experience in educational, behavioral health, or child care settings preferred.
  • Skills in supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges highly valued.
  • Certification or background in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus.
  • Dependable, patient, and committed to collaborative work.
