Job Description

As a Per Diem School-Based Paraprofessional, your commitment will foster academic, behavioral, and social growth through hands-on, individualized support. This role is well-suited for those passionate about helping students thrive, especially those with behavioral health or special education needs.
What Youll Do:
- Work 1:1 or with small groups, offering academic, behavioral, and social assistance under teacher supervision
- Guide students through daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement and follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
- Help create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
What Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Compliance with TB testing per district requirements
- Physical capability for standing, walking, and occasional lifting
- Ability to secure required clearances before starting
- Preferred: experience in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges is highly valued
- Certification or experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
- Dependable, patient, and a collaborative attitude
