Job Description
Registered Behavioral Technician substitute opportunities are available for professionals looking to make a positive difference in school communities near Reading, PA. What Youll Do:
- Work closely with students to support academic, behavioral, and social growth within classrooms
- Provide 1:1 or small group assistance as directed by teaching staff
- Help guide students through daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
- Implement individualized behavior support plans and follow IEPs as required
- Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs when necessary
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment
Who Were Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required; must be at least 18 years of age
- TB test (per district requirements) and up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting
- Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting if needed
- Prior experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care preferred
- Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is a plus
- RBT, CPI, or PMT credentials/experience welcomed, but not required
- Reliable, patient, and collaborative mindset is key
