As a Registered Behavior Technician substitute, youll provide 1:1 and small-group support to students, focusing on their academic, social, and behavioral success. Enjoy the variety and adaptability of flexible shifts that allow you to manage your own schedule while contributing to a positive learning atmosphere.
What youll do:
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
- Assist students individually or in small groups as directed by teachers and staff
- Facilitate smooth daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
- Carry out behavior support plans and follow students IEPs where applicable
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and, when necessary, personal care needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning community
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to provide a TB test as requested by the district
- Able to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
- Current clearancesor willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred experience:
- School, special education, behavioral health, or childcare background
- Experience with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT knowledge a plus (not required)
- Dependable, patient, and collaborative attitude
