Per Diem Registered Behavior Technician in Pittsburg, CA

Registered Behavioral Technicians are needed to provide vital support for students in a school-based setting. This per diem, as-needed position offers flexible scheduling, making it an excellent fit for compassionate professionals who enjoy helping students thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially. Shifts are offered based on coverage needs, giving you control over when you work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students one-on-one or in small groups as directed by educators and staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and fostering classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Help with supervision, mobility, and personal care as necessary
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Basic Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to meet TB testing guidelines (per district policy)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• Current or obtainable clearances required for school-based positions

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Certification or experience as a CPI, PMT, or RBT is advantageous, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
