Job Description
Registered Behavior Technicians are currently needed for rewarding, school-based opportunities near Oakland, CA. Youll work one-on-one with students, offering academic, social, and behavioral support as directed by teachers or school staff. Shifts are available based on school coverage needsgiving you the autonomy to accept assignments that align with your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assistance to students, supporting academic, behavioral, and social growth in classroom settings
- Offer 1:1 or small-group support under teacher or staff direction
- Facilitate student participation, transitions, daily routines, and classroom engagement
- Implement individualized behavior support plans and follow IEPs as applicable
- Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
- Uphold a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- TB test as required
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
- Current clearances, or willingness to obtain them before your start date
Preferred Experience:
- School, special education, behavioral health, or child care backgrounds
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (helpful but not mandatory)
- Patient, reliable, and ready to collaborate with school staff
