Key Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Current fingerprint background clearance or willingness to obtain before starting
- Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings preferred
- Exposure to supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or background in CPI, PMT, or registered behavior technician (RBT) is a plus
- Reliable, team-oriented, and patient by nature
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 or small group supportacademically and behaviorallyunder the supervision of a classroom teacher
- Assist with student routines, classroom engagement, and transitions throughout the day
- Implement behavioral support plans and follow guidelines in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide support for mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when required
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere for all students
