This position involves close collaboration with teachers to provide 1:1 or small group support for students, helping them navigate daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions with confidence. Youll play a crucial role in implementing behavior plans, supporting individualized education programs (IEPs), and ensuring students receive the care and encouragement they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver targeted academic, behavioral, and social assistance as directed by classroom teachers
  • Aid students with daily routines, transitions, and full classroom engagement
  • Implement behavioral strategies and follow IEP guidelines
  • Support mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher (required)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when needed
  • Current fingerprint background clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting
  • Experience in education, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings preferred
  • Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is highly valued
  • Certification or experience in CPI, PMT, or RBT a plus
  • Dependable, patient, and collaborative attitude
