Job Description

As a per diem school-based paraprofessional, youll directly contribute to students educational journeys by providing individualized attention and support in classrooms and beyond.
In this role, your primary focus will be on fostering academic, behavioral, and social growth in students. Collaborate with teachers and school staff to deliver the consistent, compassionate care that students need to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering 1:1 or small group academic, behavioral, and social assistance as directed by teaching staff
- Helping students navigate daily routines and transitions smoothly
- Implementing behavior support plans and following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assisting with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs as required
- Contributing to the creation of a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting or student mobility
- Current fingerprint background clearances, or willingness to complete them before beginning work
Preferred experience:
- Previous work or internship in schools, behavioral health, child care, or special education
- Experience supporting individuals with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or knowledge in CPI, PMT, or RBT
- Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
