Job Description

Make a positive impact supporting students academic, social, and behavioral growth in a dynamic, school-based environment. As a Per Diem Paraprofessional, youll play a vital part in helping students succeed by offering hands-on support and encouragement every day.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering individualized or small group academic, behavioral, and social assistance under the direction of a classroom teacher.
  • Helping students navigate classroom routines, transitions, and active participation.
  • Following and implementing behavior support plans and ensuring IEP requirements are met.
  • Assisting with student mobility, supervision, and performing personal care tasks as necessary.
  • Fostering a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where each student can thrive.

To be considered for this opportunity, youll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Compliance with required TB testing according to district guidelines.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.
  • Current background clearances or willingness to obtain all necessary documentation before starting.

Preferred candidates may also possess:

  • Experience working in school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health settings, especially supporting students with autism or behavioral challenges.
  • Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT.
  • A proven ability to collaborate, show patience, and maintain a reliable presence.
