Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group academic, behavioral, and social support under the direction of certified teachers
- Assist with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions throughout the school day
- Implement behavior support strategies as outlined in students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care needs as required
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree or higher
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
- Current fingerprint background clearances or willingness to obtain them before starting
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Previous work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Certification or training in CPI, PMT, or as an RBT
- Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
