Job Description

School-based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) substitutes are needed to provide compassionate, one-on-one support to students in a dynamic school setting. These per diem, as-needed assignments allow for flexibilitytake shifts based on your availability and the schools coverage needs. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals looking to positively impact the academic, behavioral, and social development of students while working in a structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct support to students in classroom settings to foster academic, behavioral, and social progress
  • Accurately observe student behavior, documenting and communicating findings to supervisors
  • Offer one-on-one or small group assistance as directed by school personnel
  • Assist students with classroom routines, transitions, and active participation in learning
  • Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs, ensuring consistency and support
  • Support personal care, mobility, and provide active supervision as needed
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED and active RBT certification
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • TB test (in accordance with district policies)
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting tasks
  • Up-to-date clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in educational, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings
  • Experience working with students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
  • CPI, PMT, or additional RBT-related experience
  • Dependable, patient, and collaborative work ethic
