Per Diem Registered Behavior Technician in Concord, CA

School-based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) substitutes are needed to provide crucial support to students on a flexible, as-needed basis. This per diem opportunity is ideal for compassionate, dedicated professionals eager to make a positive impact in a school environment. You'll work directly with students 1:1 or in small group settings, helping them navigate academic, social, and behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom environments
• Observe and document student behavior, communicating insights to your supervisor
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as guided by teaching and school staff
• Assist with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions between activities
• Implement behavior plans and support students according to their IEPs
• Provide supervision and mobility support, including personal care when necessary
• Foster a respectful, safe, and inclusive learning space for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Active RBT certification
• Minimum age of 18
• Recent TB test (per district policy)
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Completion of required background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Background supporting individuals with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Additional certifications (CPI, PMT) are a plus, but not mandatory
