Job Description

Per Diem School-Based Paraprofessional roles offer the unique opportunity to work closely with students, helping to foster their academic, behavioral, and social development through individualized assistance. In this per diem position, your support will be guided by educators, enabling students to thrive in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver one-on-one or small group academic, behavioral, and social support as directed by teaching staff
  • Assist students throughout daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities
  • Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs to ensure tailored student interventions
  • Provide mobility assistance, supervision, and personal care based on individual needs
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher required
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
  • Possession of current fingerprint background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
  • Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
  • Certification or experience in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
  • Demonstrated reliability, patience, and teamwork skills
