Per Diem Paraeducator in Yuba City, CA

What You'll Do:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Assist students individually or in small groups as directed by educators
• Help students with daily routines, class transitions, and active participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow any required Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support students supervision, mobility, and personal care needs as needed
• Foster and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a TB test (per district policy)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• Willingness to obtain/maintain required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care is strongly preferred
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges a plus
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods is beneficial but not required
• Dependable, patient, and enjoys collaborating with a team
