Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Winnetka, Illinois

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized and small-group student support during classroom instruction
• Assist students with daily activities, transitions, and classroom routines
• Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and implement behavior support strategies
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment
• Partner with teachers and staff to foster a positive learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current school clearances (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus, but not required
• A calm, dependable, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
