Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Winnetka, IL

Position Highlights:

• Support students academically, socially, and behaviorally within classroom environments
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Assist with student routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs when applicable
• Offer supervision, support mobility, and attend to personal care needs as required
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all learners

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• TB test (per district guidelines)
• Able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Willingness to obtain or provide current background clearances

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Knowledge of CPI, PMT, or RBT methods (a plus but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
