Per Diem Instructional Aide in Winnetka, IL

Position Responsibilities

• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups under teacher and staff guidance
• Support academic, behavioral, and social engagement in the classroom
• Help students with transitions, routines, and participation throughout the day
• Implement behavior support strategies and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed
• Provide assistance with supervision, mobility, and personal care if needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere for all learners

Essential Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and physically assist with lifting as necessary
• TB test completion (per district requirements)
• Willingness to obtain or provide current required clearances before starting

Preferred Background

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is beneficial but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, adaptable, and eager to collaborate
