Per Diem Teacher Aide | Whittier, California

In this position, youll:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students under the direction of teachers and staff
• Assist students with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
• Help implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs as necessary
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when required

Requirements for this role include:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain a district-required TB test
• Clearances (current or willing to obtain prior to start date)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience in a school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health setting
• Prior work with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is valued
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus, but not mandatory
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
