As a substitute paraprofessional, youll be the essential bridge between students needs and their educational goals, ensuring every child receives the attention and care they deserve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group assistance to students, as directed by teachers and school staff
• Support students classroom involvement, daily routines, and transitions
• Assist with behavior and academic support, following behavior intervention plans and IEPs
• Aid with mobility, supervision, and personal care when needed
• Foster a safe, welcoming, and respectful learning space for all students
• Communicate effectively with staff, maintaining professionalism and teamwork

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed
• Must complete all necessary clearances before starting

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are advantageous but not required
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative approach
