Per Diem Teacher Assistant | Waverly, New York

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide valuable support for students in school environments. Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed by teachers or staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and IEPs as needed
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• TB test per district standards
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Willingness to complete all background clearances prior to start

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience welcomed but not mandatory
• Dependable, patient, and a collaborative team player
