Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized or small group academic and behavioral support under the direction of teachers and staff
- Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation in school activities
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies as required
- Support students mobility, personal care, and supervision needs throughout the day
- Maintain classroom safety and promote an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Proof of TB test per district regulations
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
- Updated clearances or willingness to complete them prior to starting
Preferred Background
- Experience in schools, child care, special education, or behavioral health settings
- Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT skills are valued, but not mandatory
- Reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach are essential
