Per Diem Instructional Aide in Waukegan, IL

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for flexible, per diem opportunities providing essential support in school settings near Waukegan, IL. What Youll Do:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classrooms
• Assist teachers and staff by supporting students 1:1 or in small groups
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as directed
• Support student mobility, provide supervision, and assist with personal care when needed
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• TB test (per district requirements)
• All required school clearances (or willingness to obtain them before starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is helpful but not required
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative approach are essential
