Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Waterford, MI

What youll do:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially under teacher or school staff direction
• Provide individualized or small-group support based on students needs
• Guide students through routines, transitions, and participation in classroom activities
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
• Support personal care, supervision, and mobility needs when required
• Maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students

What we require:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with physical support or lifting when necessary
• TB test (per district guidelines)
• Current school clearances, or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methodologies (a benefit, but not required)
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
