Per Diem Teacher Aide | Warren, Michigan

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to provide meaningful support to students within a structured school environment close to Warren, MI. These school-based, per diem positions are tailored for caring professionals who are eager to assist students in achieving their fullest potential. As an Instructional Aide, you will be flexible in your assignments, filling in as needed to meet school coverage requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support in both classroom and small-group settings
• Provide individualized (1:1) or group assistance under the direction of teachers and school staff
• Help students with classroom routines, transitions, and engagement
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and IEPs as needed
• Support students with mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment at all times

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Current TB test (as required by the district)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Up-to-date clearances (or willingness to obtain them before starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
