Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Warren, MI

As an Instructional Aide substitute, youll work alongside teachers and school staff to ensure every student is included and supported throughout their school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in classroom settings
• Support students 1:1 or in small groups as directed
• Assist with classroom routines, supervision, transitions, and daily participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP goals when applicable
• Help with mobility, monitoring, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Completion of a TB test (as required)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Active or obtainable clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Working with children in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is a plus
• Reliability, patience, and a team-oriented attitude
