School Paraprofessional Substitute Opportunities Flexible, Per Diem Assignments

What Youll Do:

• Provide direct support to students, both academically and socially, within classroom settings
• Assist teachers and staff by offering individualized or small group help
• Help students with daily routines, class transitions, and engagement in activities
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
• Offer support with supervision, mobility, and occasional personal care needs
• Ensure a respectful, inclusive, and safe classroom environment for all

Compliance and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Possess an active ParaPro certificate, Substitute Teaching certificate, or a minimum of 36 college credits
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Ability to pass a TB test (per district requirements)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist students with lifting and mobility as necessary
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in school, behavioral health, special education, or child care environments
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs, including autism or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not mandatory
• Reliable, caring, and collaborative personality
