Per Diem Paraprofessional in Warren, MI

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide essential, hands-on support in K-12 classrooms on a per diem basis. These school-based opportunities offer the flexibility to accept assignments that fit your schedule, making them perfect for those seeking a dynamic and impactful role. As an Instructional Aide, youll work 1:1 with students, helping them achieve their academic and social goals while being a valued member of a collaborative school community.

Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted assistance to students in academic, behavioral, and social settings
• Work closely with teachers and support staff for 1:1 or small group instruction
• Help students navigate daily routines and classroom transitions
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEP requirements as needed
• Support personal care, mobility, and supervision to ensure student safety
• Foster a respectful, inclusive environment conducive to student learning

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with district requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
• Active clearances (or willingness to obtain before starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, or child care
• Comfort supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral concerns
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT helpful but not required
• Strong reliability, patience, and collaborative spirit
