Per Diem Instructional Aide - Walnut Grove, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide vital support for students in a school-based environment. These per diem, as-needed openings are perfect for compassionate individuals looking for flexibility and meaningful work. As an Instructional Aide, you will have the opportunity to support students 1:1 or in small groups, working closely with teachers and school staff to facilitate a positive learning experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classrooms
• Providing personalized or small-group assistance based on teachers directives
• Assisting with daily routines, transitions, and overall classroom engagement
• Implementing behavior support plans and following IEPs as required
• Helping with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
• Fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Recent TB test, consistent with district guidelines
• Physical capacity to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to secure prior to start

Preferred experience:

• Prior work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (not mandatory)
• Patient, dependable, and collaborative approach
