Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Vista, CA

As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you'll play a vital role in school settings, providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students on a one-on-one basis. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group support under the guidance of teachers and school personnel
• Help students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as necessary
• Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care if needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current (or willing to obtain) TB test as per school regulations
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Up-to-date clearances, or readiness to secure them prior to employment

Preferred Background:

• Experience in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required, but advantageous)
• Reliability, patience, and a team-focused attitude
