Per Diem Teacher Assistant - Vista, California

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to provide valuable 1:1 support to students in a vibrant and structured school environment near Vista, CA. As an Instructional Aide substitute, youll work alongside teachers and staff, playing a vital role in the academic, behavioral, and social success of students. Each day brings a new chance to inspire and support, whether youre guiding classroom participation or assisting with daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom settings
• Provide individualized 1:1 or small group assistance at the direction of teachers
• Help students navigate daily routines and transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Offer support with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test (in accordance with district policy)
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance as needed
• Current school-related clearances (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required)
• A reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach
