Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Vista, California

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to provide essential support to students in classroom settings. If you're a compassionate professional eager to make a positive difference, this opportunity offers flexible, per diem shifts based on ongoing school coverage needs.

In this role, you'll:

• Assist students individually or in small groups with academic, social, and behavioral tasks as directed by teaching staff and school administration
• Help students navigate daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and assist with following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), where applicable
• Offer mobility, supervision, and personal care assistance as needed to support a safe and inclusive environment
• Contribute to a respectful, engaging, and supportive classroom experience for all students

To qualify, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED
• Provide a current TB test (as required by local school policies)
• Be able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Pass all compliance clearances prior to starting

Additional experience is preferred, especially if you have:

• Worked in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Supported students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Exposure to CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (a plus, but not required)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a collaborative attitude
