Per Diem Paraeducator in Vista, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to work in a school-based setting, supporting students near Vista, CA. This flexible, per diem opportunity allows professionals to truly make an impact in students daily lives. Youll work directly with children, often providing essential 1:1 support, and step in as needed according to school coverage requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as guided by teachers or school staff
• Facilitate daily routines, transitions, and overall classroom participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as applicable
• Provide supervision, mobility, and personal care assistance when necessary
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all students

To qualify, school compliance requires:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Completed TB test (as per district guidelines)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Current or obtainable background clearances prior to starting

Preferred experience includes:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Previous experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (not mandatory)
• A reliable, patient, and team-focused attitude
