Per Diem Instructional Aide in Venice, CA

As an Instructional Aide, you will work closely with students, sometimes providing one-on-one support or assisting small groups, helping them succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially. Youll be an integral part of the classroom team, following the direction of teachers and support staff to implement learning and behavior plans, while encouraging students to thrive and fully participate throughout their day.

What you'll do:

• Assist students with classroom routines, transitions, and active engagement in learning activities
• Deliver individualized or small group support, fostering inclusive participation
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as directed
• Provide supervision, support daily mobility needs, and assist with personal care when required
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
• Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Recent TB test (as required by the local district)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting support if needed
• Willingness to obtain or update clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, childcare, or behavioral health
• Experience working with students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
