Per Diem Paraeducator in Van Nuys, CA

School-based paraprofessionals play a vital role in helping students thrive day-to-day. Currently, flexible opportunities are available for compassionate, dedicated professionals interested in supporting students on a 1:1 basis in a structured educational environment. These per diem positions offer a chance to contribute meaningfully while maintaining flexibilityshifts are as-needed and scheduled according to school coverage requests.

What You'll Do:

• Support students medically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom and campus settings
• Provide individualized (1:1) assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Assist students with medical needs, daily living routines, classroom transitions, and participation
• Aid with supervision, mobility, and personal care requirements
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• Active RN license required
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with district policy
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift as necessary for student assistance
• Current school compliance clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environment
• Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism
• CPR certification and G-Tube or Trach care experience a plus (not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
