Instructional Aide Substitute Opportunities Flexible School-Based Roles

These positions offer the opportunity to provide 1:1 or small-group assistance within public schools, making a real difference in students daily experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with classroom activities and routines
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and social development, following teacher and staff direction
• Support students during transitions, classroom participation, and daily schedules
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEPs as directed
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current TB test (as required by district)
• Capacity for standing, walking, and assisting with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work with schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
