Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Van Nuys, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to provide essential support for students within school environments near Van Nuys, CA. These per diem roles offer flexibilityaccept assignments based on your availability, all while making a real difference for learners who benefit from your one-on-one attention. As an instructional aide, youll play a significant role fostering a positive and safe environment for every student in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized academic, behavioral, and social support in classroom settings
• Deliver 1:1 or small group guidance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom integration
• Implement behavior support plans and follow student IEPs when applicable
• Support students with mobility, personal care, and supervision needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere conducive to learning

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Recent TB test (per district regulations)
• Capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as part of daily activities
• Clearances required by school policy, current or eligible to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training a plus (not required)
• Dependable, compassionate, and collaborative attitude
