Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Vallejo, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed for flexible, per diem assignments supporting local schools. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social assistance to students in classroom settings
• Support students 1:1 or in small groups as directed by teachers and staff
• Assist with daily student routines, transitions, and participation in activities
• Follow behavior support plans and student IEPs as needed
• Help with mobility, supervision, and personal care tasks
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test clearance (according to district standards)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in K-12 school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and enjoys working as part of a team
