Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with academics, behavior, and social skills in classroom settings
- Deliver individualized or small group assistance under direction from teachers
- Aid students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Follow and help implement behavior support plans and IEPs as applicable
- Help ensure student safety, supervision, and mobilityincluding personal care support as needed
- Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- At least 18 years of age
- TB test (per district regulations)
- Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
- Willingness to obtain required clearances before start date
Preferred Experience:
- Previous background in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care setting
- Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not required
- Patient, reliable, and team-focused attitude
