Per Diem Instructional Aide - Torrance, CA

In this position, you will:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom settings.
• Offer 1:1 or small-group support as directed by educational staff.
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and participation during the school day.
• Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) when required.
• Support mobility needs and personal care for students.
• Encourage a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

To be successful, you'll need:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• To be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.
• Compliance with district requirements, including a current TB test and clear background checks (or willingness to obtain clearance prior to starting).

Preferred backgrounds:

• Previous experience in educational, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings.
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
• CPI, PMT, or RBT certification is beneficial but not required.
• Dependable, patient, and team-oriented mindset.
