Per Diem Teacher Assistant - Taylor, Michigan

What You'll Do:

• Assist students individually or in small groups with academic, behavioral, and social needs
• Follow teacher and staff guidance to facilitate student participation in daily classroom activities
• Support routines, transitions, and implementation of behavior support plans or IEPs
• Provide supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care support as required
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• TB test per district requirements
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if needed
• Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience a plus
• Patient, dependable, and collaborative attitude
