Instructional Aides Per Diem Opportunities in Sylmar, CA

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Instructional Aides to provide one-on-one and small group support for students within school settings. These per diem roles offer flexible assignments based on school coverage needs, making them ideal for professionals committed to making a meaningful impact in education.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments
• Provide individualized support as directed by teachers and school staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as applicable
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Current TB test as per district guidelines or willingness to complete before starting
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Clearances up to date or willingness to obtain prior to employment

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT is advantageous but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach to working with students and staff
