Per Diem Paraprofessional in Sunnyvale, CA

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group academic, behavioral, and social support under the guidance of teachers and staff
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions throughout the school day
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed to foster student success
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs with patience and professionalism
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Current TB test in accordance with school requirements
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• All clearances must be current or obtained before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Previous experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges a plus
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is valued, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and strong team-player attributes encouraged
