Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test in accordance with school/district policy
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Must have current background clearances or be willing to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Experience

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful, not required)
• Patient, dependable, and collaborative approach

Role Responsibilities

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially under the direction of classroom teachers and staff
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance as needed
• Help with classroom routines, transitions, and participation
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and assist with IEP goals
• Support students' mobility, supervision, and personal care if required
• Maintain safe, respectful, and inclusive learning spaces
