Per Diem Paraprofessional in Sunnyvale, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to help make a significant impact within school communities near Sunnyvale, CA! These per diem, school-based opportunities offer flexible scheduling for compassionate professionals interested in supporting students 1:1 or in small groups. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance as guided by classroom teachers and staff
• Assist students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and engagement
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEP goals as needed
• Support students with mobility, supervision, and personal care
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a TB test, background, and other required clearances (assistance available if not current)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and help with lifting when necessary

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in a school, child care, special education, or behavioral health setting
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices welcomed but not mandatory
• Demonstrates reliability, patience, and strong teamwork skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $18.52 to $30.52. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
