Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Stockton, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to support elementary and secondary students in a dynamic and collaborative school environment. These positions focus on direct, 1:1 or small-group assistance, helping students succeed academically, behaviorally, and socially.

As an Instructional Aide, you'll:

• Assist students in classrooms, providing academic support and encouraging their participation
• Work closely with teachers and school staff to deliver individual or small-group guidance
• Implement behavioral support strategies and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
• Help students with transitions, daily routines, and classroom engagement
• Monitor and ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Support students mobility, provide supervision, and assist with personal care if needed

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 18 years
• Current TB test (per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Willingness to obtain or update background clearances prior to starting

Preferred experience includes:

• Working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods (a plus, but not required)
• Patience, reliability, and a collaborative approach
