Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Stockton, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide valuable 1:1 support to students in local schools near Stockton, CA. What Youll Do:

• Deliver academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Work 1:1 or with small groups, following teacher and staff directions
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom involvement
• Implement behavior support plans and follow individualized education programs (IEPs) when required
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to learning

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age: 18
• TB test as required by local district policies
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary
• Willingness to obtain or update required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT training (not required, but valued)
• Patient, reliable, and team-focused approach
