Job Description

Instructional Aide Subs are currently needed to support students one-on-one in a structured, school-based environment. These per diem opportunities provide compassionate professionals a meaningful way to help students succeed, with flexibility to take on assignments that fit your schedule. Whether you have prior experience in educational settings or are eager to begin making a difference, your contributions will be valued as part of a nurturing and inclusive school community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social activities throughout the school day
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups under the direction of classroom teachers and staff
  • Help students transition between activities, manage daily routines, and participate in classroom instruction
  • Implement behavior support strategies, follow IEPs, and support personal care as needed
  • Provide mobility, supervision, and ensure the safety of all students
  • Foster a respectful and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • TB test (in accordance with district guidelines)
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary
  • Willingness to obtain required clearances prior to starting

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
  • Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
  • CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a bonus, but not required
  • Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
